Mission and Purpose
Mission
Our mission is two-fold: (1) to boost civic engagement in the work of animal rescues and (2) to build and maintain a robust online hub that connects the community to aggregated animal-welfare resources, business, and organizations of all types.
Purpose
Act For Animals Southwestern Pennsylvania is a non-profit corporation and shall be operated exclusively for educational and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or the corresponding section of any future Federal tax code.
The main purpose of Act For Animals SWPA is to ultimately help animals within Southwestern Pennsylvania by assisting animal non-profits with non-monetary requirements ranging from coordinating volunteer connections, promoting events, raising awareness and all other ethically based needs.
