The vision of The Creatures of The Creator group is to recognize the sacred nature of all living creatures and their caregivers and to advocate for their care and well-being.
Our pet ministry began in 2018 out of an awareness of a need for a faith-based organization that performs pet-oriented outreach to the greater Pittsburgh community. We serve both individuals who cherish their pets as well as area animal rescue organizations in helping them fulfill their critical rescue and life saving efforts.
We hold events throughout the year on the campus at Unity Presbyterian Church in Green Tree as well as off-site events in local pet supply stores and other locales. Examples of these are:
• Blessing Of The Animals in June;
• Pet Remembrance Service in November;
• Donation Drives for supplies for animal rescue groups;
• Presentations on animal care, therapy animals and other relevant topics;
• Dog Walks;
• Adoption events; and other initiatives.
We offer an annual COTC Grant program that benefits non-profit animal rescue organizations throughout Western Pennsylvania. Organizations may learn more about the program and submit their applications here: https://unitypresbyterianchurch.org/sundayschool/tcotc/
